SAP FCc Implementation approach
If you have already decided to implement SAP Financial Closing cockpit (ECC 6.0.3 or higher) you might be interested in an implementation partner. In that case Proxyon International is at your service with it's SAP FCc Implementation Approach, as described below.
Proxyon International offers you the ProxyPack, consisting of a bundle of effective tools providing comprehensive insight into your periodic closing process and determines to which extent the SAP Financial Closing cockpit will be beneficial to your organization. The ProxyPack that provides a boost to your financial control with sustained endurance portrays as follows:
- Current Closing approach
- Implementation plan
- Implement
- Support
Since you have decided that SAP FCc is going to support you with the Period Close cycles you probably have defined what will be the (minor) changes to the current closing approach, if any. So we check the documents you have prepared, and probably captured the 'future process' description. You are invited to complete that description using the template that we provide.
Confirm Values to preserve
Many business processes or parts of them do not deserve a high impact change. They are the main part of the future process description and will be included in the implementation plan.
Embed Improvement opportunities
A few business processes or parts of them deserve a high impact change. You have already indicated them as improvement opportunities, and you have valuated and ranked them so they have the right spot in the implementation plan.
Determine future process
Our agreement with you contains:
(1) the business logic model to be implemented and
(2) the SAP FCc oriented model (Structured Excel spreadsheet) representing the business logic.
We will validate against the business case that you produced for the decision to use SAP FCc to support your Period Close cycles.
Based on the result from the Current Closing approach we provide you with an optimal implementation plan that includes the elements described below:
Support and Control Organization
Setting up SAP FCc requires customizing activities, this therefore is as close to the users as it can get. Implementing a continuous improvement cycle is crucial as well as setting up the support and control organization as soon as possible is the gateway to success.
Training
Controlling and supporting activities success have their roots in training. Training the right people in the right way is crucial.
Configuration
In SAP FCc the configuration set is called a template and you will be able to define as many as required. By defining templates you build, maintain and enhance the engine that you manage from the cockpit (we do not mind calling that the control room). From the templates it will be clear which authorization objects need which enhancements and how the schedules will be configured.
Communication
To bestow a world class process world class value, the right communication at the right time to the right people is critical.
Validation
The concept of SAP FCc is based on the plan, execute, monitor and analyze cycle. This concept is also portrayed within the SAP FCc implementation.
Unlike most SAP software implementations there are mainly validation activities in the implementation block.
Check systems set up
We ensure that all components are available and work as a fully integrated set. Only if necessary, will adjustments be made to ensure a complete Closing landscape.
Configure
Since the FCC templates, the authorization objects and the schedules contain most of the applicable configuration, validation should suffice. Still we are available to guide towards required improvements.
Test
Business Process Modeling, Configuration and Implementation so close that testing will eventually just be a period close simulation. And that is why we do not underestimate the activities and the possible impact.
Review first period closing effort
Proxyon International takes responsibility for it's activities, so we will guide you through the critical period close cycle.
